Functioning
The product
to be processed is relaxed under high pressure via a 1- or 2-stage homogenizing
device. As a result of this energy conversion, shear and cavitation reactants
occur, which cause particle comminution with an optimal distribution degree at
the same time.
Construction
The ALFA-LAVAL
SHL homogenizing machine is designed as
a horizontal 3-piston pump with downstream homogenizing valve.
The machine

Motor
Crankshaft,
connecting rods and crossheads work in a one-piece, stable GuBgehiiuse. All
lubrication points are supplied with 01 by centrifugal lubrication. A submerged
lamella cooler is integrated into the engine.
High
pressure pump block
One-piece
pump block made of forged stainless steel with quick-change piston seal system
and easily removable suction and pressure valve seats. The valve seats are
interchangeable.
Various
materials and sealing systems are available for various product and process
requirements.
Cone and
ball valves are used according to the product viscosity and abrasion behavior.
The pump
block is designed for sterile operation and can be easily converted from
non-aseptic to aseptic operation.
The
execution corresponds to the requirements for CIP cleaning. All parts in
contact with the product (except seals} are made of stainless material.
Homogenizing
head
1- or
2-stage homogenizing device with hydraulic pressure adjustment by means of hand
control valve. Wear-resistant homogenizing device (see figure), consisting of
seat, cone and impact ring.
Seat and
baffle ring can be used on both sides.

Drive
Power is
transmitted from the drive motor to the crankshaft via belt drive and slip-on
