Used modular type cooling tower, with 1 cell. This cooling tower has been specifically designed to guarantee, particularly in industrial applications, continuous service with very low maintenance costs, due to its corrosion free materials: glass corrosion-freezing and other plastic. No protective maintenance is needed.
This cooling tower also offers a high efficiency: the axial fans with blades in high resistance glass-reinforced polypropylene, have a high-efficiency airfoil profile and are coupled to a hub in cast aluminium. The fans are directly coupled to electric motors, therefore no maintenance is needed and there are no risks of belts breaking. The electric connection box is transferred outside of the cooling tower.
The drift eliminators of this cooling tower are made in PVC vacuum formed sheet and duly glued together with a reinforced sheet in the same material. The particular design is such as to force the air flow to make four route changes, giving the cooling tower a high retention efficiency: more than 0.001 % of circulating water.
This cooling tower has self-cleaning nozzles. The water spraying rubber nozzles are centrifugal, without internal propellers and have large diameter outlets to avoid obstructions. The rubber nozzles can be removed quickly from the headers due to the absence of screws.
The axial fan found in this cooling tower is situated downstream of the air flow, it operates in suction. This avoids air re-circulation between suction and discharge and obtains a uniform air distribution through the filling, which cannot normally be achieved if the fan operates by impulsion.
This cooling tower features a large access door, that allows removing the filling and the drift eliminators.
